Classic visual novels,and the one I'll mainly talk about in this thread,usually feature spirit graphics with occasional cgs and video clips,and some soundtracks. How strong varies by game,some include rpg elements like leveling up,some puzzle like,well,solving puzzles,and some games marketed as visual novels are in the purest form of plot - text. I'm not a native english speaker so expect some errors here and there.Ī visual novel,vn for short,is a type of game with a strong emphasis on plot.
